So, I'm a books-on-tape listener...and I usually get about 2 or 3 books in each month. Most are Science Fiction/Fantasy but I also like WW1 and WW2 non-fiction.

Last month I read a book that I *really* liked! Of course, it was the first book in a series and only the first book is out right now. *sigh* That seems to be a perpetual problem. Anyway here are the details:

Dawn of Wonder: The Wakening by Jonathan Renshaw.
-This is a coming of age story about a young boy who has to flee his home after saving his village from slavers. A misunderstanding sends the boy into danger and ever deeper into fantastical adventure. He manages to enroll in a special military school that is WAY more than it appears to be. The mystery only begins there.

So, I've been reading this series by James S.A. Corey called 'The Expanse'. It's a space opra and it's really really good! I'm on book 3 right now, almost done, and I'm already gearing up for book 4. So far there are 6 books in the series with some short stories sprinkled in between some of the books. I think the Sci-Fi channel has adapted this into a TV show as well, The Expanse.

Anyway, I'm a space opra nut just like Epic Fantasy.

Book 1: Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey
